Architecture Foundation, Urban Pioneers Canada Water

Last week I was asked by The Architecture Foundation to run a drawing workshop as part of their ongoing Urban Pioneers program for 16-17 year old Londoners. The week long course was taking place this year around Canada Water in Rotherhithe, South East London. We spent the day going through several observational drawing exercises taking in the sights along the Thames and the old docks.

The day went really well, with a big thanks to Tom Keeley from the AF, and it was a massive plus with all the kids being really enthusiastic and open to some potentially embarrassing drawing exercises. Below, the view from the top of Stave Hill, here we did a 360 panoramic drawing for 20 minutes.

Drawn in the carpark at Surrey Quays shopping centre, 10 minutes without looking at the page.
